Mouse after upgrading to Windows 8.1
Hello, I just upgraded my pc to Windows 8.1, and when I started again my Skyrim, the mouse became slow and erratic if I Alt+Tab to desktop. And in-game mouse/camera also become slow compared to before I upgraded. Anyone with same problem?

Did you check your Skyrim Settings?

There are a few other discussions on this subject today. I don't know if some one fixed it yet. I didn't subscribe to the discussions, so you'll have to do a search to see if you can find them.

Yes, I checked both in-game settings and .ini files. Just wondering if anyone encounter same problems.

Only saw one about Windows 8.1 and Skyrim, my symptoms are a bit different (only for mouse behavior), so I think better start a new thread about it.

The problem for me is not Skyrim per-se, but how windows mouse is slow and uncontrollable (drifts everywhere) when having Skyrim at background, this never happens before the update.

I've had the same issue for a while, skyrim mouse controls always felt sluggish to me.I believe you can change mouse acceleration in your skyrimprefs.ini file but I haven't checked myself

Try this, open your skyrim, then open up Steam overlay. Now see the mouse behaves.

edit:
managed to somehow fix this by plugging PS/2 mouse and reducing polling rate to less than 200 per second

im having the same problem with all of my games, not sure what is causing it - only started after upgrading to 8.1 as well

I upgraded to the amd 13.11 beta drivers and it got ride of the border in full screen mode. YAY!
