Ive spent more hours...
Ive spent more hours troubleshooting this game than actually playing it.

Yes, Ive checked load order.
Yes, Ive cleaned mods.
Yes, Ive started from a clean install.
Yes, I exceed the requirements to play.
Yes, I am not running an obscene amount of mods, (38, including masters).

Anyone have an idea about whether content mods or imagery mods cause the most problems?
Im inclined to remove all the gfx polishing mods for content if I can actually play the game.

That is saying a tremendous amount, since the game looks so atrocious without enbs.

No offense, but you are admitting to downloading files with .dll plugins and other modifications that change the fundamental structure and stability of Skyrim.

Then you say that "Bethesda should be ashamed" when your custom modified game does not work.

What you said just makes me speechless........

Your post is idiotic and makes no sense fella!

Sell your gaming PC and go back to 360 or Ps3. Mods are 2 advanved for you to figure out...

What he (the OP) is saying is this:

I also stopped modding Skyrim after watching this for the first time.

My game looks like this though:

I slap on an ENB n forget it.. I will insta-crash since I hit that limit rather quickly.

Funny thing is, I want to mod Skyrim more than just using texture packs.. I would like to run some heavily scripted mods as well but those eat up my papyrus and in the end. I have to keep my scripts on the D-low.

Now, this is not the case with Oblivion, where I run multiple texture packs and multiple heavily scripted mods without an issue. (mostly because the min to max limit is larger than the min to max limit from Skyrim) Skyrim SHOULD have been a 64bit game and not a 32bit one. This would have given modders more of an overhead in which to mod. But, that is the price we PC gamers pay for having a game be made "multiplatform".

You Skyrim fanboys have no place here, if you cannot be objective. Look at the problem-

The game looks bad, exceptions are the models which look better. Let me be clear- I had no problem before Bethesda official DLC and then after updates and a clean install the game just gives up when trying to save or change zone.

I forgot about the limit! LawL.

i had CTD too mutiple times, is annoying most of the times but hey. we choose to mod our game that what happens if something fcks up. i fix my game to 100% playable when CTD happens to have a good game. seriously if u dont want CTD's DONT MOD UR GAME! based on your post u whine while u have mods. fyi there are troubleshoots & compatibility in almost every mods.. well if u dont follow them, countless CTD will happen. that's the truth just sayn'.

No, those images are unmodded. The entire post states "I have followed the instructions, since this configuration doesnt work what should I use- content or pretty?" People are missing the point entirely.

Also, since Morrowind Bethesda has depended on user based content to shore up there unfinished product. Skyrim was released on an ANCIENT engine, with poor base code. I actually feel bad for the modders who have to deal with that stuff.

Look, the reason I post is to find out if content or imagery that causes the most problems so I can get out of my wahmbulance.

^^ Super, it is safe to delete the DLCs if you so choose.. just be aware most mods out there require dawnguard and/or hearthfire, newer mods require dragonborn.. If you having issues then cut the DLC required mods and kill your DLCs entirely. I was more pointing the to fact that there is a limit in how far you can mod Skyrim, you might be able to run 100 mods but CTD due to hitting that limit. Now, if you were to go back to Fallout 3 say, you can make your game look like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFY4lF0VjzQ

Skyrim has a higher base already, and thus can not be modded beyond that point, unless someone comes up with a 64bit patch :D Thus Oblivion/Fallout/Morrowind use less quality textures at their base can be modded more, and with striking results.

What you have shown is vanilla game graphics yes they are not high on the makers list, but others have done that for you. All you got to do is choose, as for CTD on those pics is nonense it is more to do with your computer handling it, like maxing the darn thing and it can't cope.
SpeedFreak 15 okt 2013 om 1:23vm
I'm speechless EVERYBODY knows that modding is on your own risk regardless how other games/pcs run with mods and to top it you blame the devs for putting up a crap game ... right IF it don't run with mods maybe you'd try it vanilla for a chance if that crashes THEN you can blame the devs .

I... uh... how do I say this right.... enjoy the game, no matter what graphic level you have?

I guess no one is going to answer the question. Thanks for the fire though. Im going to edit the original post so people can at least focus on the question and not my feelings toward bethesda, make it less complicated for you.

Exactly! I needed to lower my resolution & graphic`s, it looks like Oblivion but I prefer it over these freaking high modded versions

EDIT: Play Vanilla game if you can`t mod your game correctly or check a tutorial on the Internet to fix that sort of problems. Never had them

I didnt realize how useless the steam forum were. I laid out what I have done (and did it correctly), and the sum of my struggle led to me a question: imagery or content?
