Monitor running 144 hz causes flickering
I have a ASUS VG248QE monitor which uses 144 hz to display the best resolution.

Most of my games I have played I have had no problems running under 144 hz, but now when I attempt to play Skyrim using 144 hz then I receive in game flickering. When I change to 120 hz then I do not have any flickering/issue.

Anyone know how I can change the refresh rate in Skyrim so that I don't have to change my system display to 120 hz?

A monitor should always run at its native resolution, so reset it to that and you shouldn't have an issue. Don't change it no matter what you've heard or read. You can fry it!

Its a well known problem, not sure iff theres a solution (I suspect not)

he's talking about frequency not resolution
