Stormcloak or imperial?
I am just wondering, but wich are you?





i have played through both and i really like the stormcloaks even thought the armour rating is really low

Stormcloak.

Don't really care for the Stormcloaks, but at least they aren't trying to cut my head off. That, and eventually a random encounter in rural Skyrim lets me know that the Imperials' Masters, The Thalmor, aren't too friendly to me no matter what I do.

My first character went Stormcloak. Second one hasn't yet decided. Third one (The Khajiit) is sort of leaning toward Imperial.

Have played both "just to see" what overall difference there might be for the "endgame" of the War questline. Nothing much really happens. PC's in the dungeons cuss you out but that's about it. Ethically (is that valid in a game?) the Dominion is "playing" the Stormcloaks so they can renew their assault on the "Empire" system of governance in the future. Playing as the Rebel Stormcloaks help the Aldmeri. To Hell with them, I say! Imperial henceforward!

Stormcloak all the way, but I have run through the evil empire side once just to see if it was different. Unfortunately, it is not.

I would say the Aldmeri are playing both sides. The Stormcloaks are fighting the Empire which weakens both of them, but it was the Empire who caused the rebellion in the first place by banning the worship of Talos. Overall, I would say the Stormcloaks are the better choice because they actually kick out the Thalmor if you help them.

I would have to say Imperials!

The jarl of Whiterun puts it best, Ulfric killed the High King because he could.
When Ulfric marched up to the High King in Solitude, he wasn't interested in a meeting, he wasn't content in a fair fight, which he would have likely won. He decided to take the teachings of the Greybeards, and dishonor his pledge to Kynareth when he decided to use it as a weapon against the High King.

The Voice became in his hands a dagger he had hidden, to murder the High King, in what was supposed to be a traditional contest of will. Who's to say the High King knew how to Shout but decided not to because of his promise to the Greybeards? Who broke their oath?

Had the Empire not conceded to the Thalmor, the loss of life would have been unacceptable. This is not something Ulfric can understand, nor does he hold any devotion for any loss of life outside of his own or any traditions which are outside of his interests. Look upon Windhelm, and its division. There are many thanes in Skyrim who realize the reason why the accord was made, who support the empire, yet who still allow the worship of Talos, who still leave the shrines untouched and accessible.


Of course, the imperial armor I can loot from corpses is worth more than the Stormcloak armor.. Hmmm ... Let me think about this some more ...

They are playing both sides, but the Empire had no choice in the mather. Only a strong Empire can take on the Thalmor, and for every battle, for every year that the civil war drags on, the weaker it becomes.
If Skyrim is lost as a province then it will be a sirious loss for the Empire.
Yes the Stormcloaks will kick out the smal patrols of Thalmor thats in Skyrim, easy done, but the Thalmor will let them, the will leave the Stormcloaks as a independent land and they will smile.
The EMpire will be weaker, mission accomplished.

As I see it there is two sides to support.
Thalmor, or Imperial.
The Stormcloaks are just a tool that the Thalmor are using for their benefit.
