why is dlc so expensive
Think about the people that bought the game and don't own the DLC yet. You're asking them to pay 22.50 for all the dlc when its on sale, where the legendary edition is less than that. So I can buy the game and the dlc for cheaper than the game.

I'm 99.9999% sure the game took more time to make than the DLC.

The only options are to buy the DLC or the Legendary Edition. No "upgrade pack" or whatever that makes it at least enticing to get the DLC.

Where my personal feelings come into it are that I played Oblivion a lot and only played the first few minutes of Skyrim once the world opened up and I could play with mods, then I got bored and never played again because I just wasn't feeling it.

For me, someone who still hasn't even really started playing, I feel like I should have never bought the game and waited until the GOTY Edition or whatever, because right now I feel like I got screwed by the mighty wiener of DLC ruining a game and making you constantly feel like you're missing out on content, and then treating you like you never even bought the game charging you for the game all over again if you want the cheaper bundle with all the DLC.

Its ridiculous, and giving DLC a bad name when Valve is doing a remarkable job enhancing their games and providing income for many fans. (modders making money on Nexus and not on Workshop is another conversation entirely)

I fail to see how you could justify feeling like you're missing something in regards to the DLC when you haven't even bothered to get past the first twenty minutes or so...

Worst part is you don't even get an extra copy of skyrim. Gaaaay

Well the game is 75% off and the dlcs are 50% off, also the legendary bundle is 66% off. Try waiting for a higher dlc sale.

Put the dlc on your watchlist and wait for a big discount. I agree that the dlc is overpriced though, given the games age.

If you just think about it like you can pick up the DLC for half of what it cost yesterday, that might make you feel better.

I don't get it.. it's a sale.

So if you want the DLC just buy the legendary edition. Or wait and maybe the DLC will go on sale later.

Nobody pays full price for a game this old, even a game as good as Skyrim.

Beth just milking money. It's a good game, and a good opportunity to milk it's customer. Why not? It's business after all.

I only need Dragonborn, but I'm not going to pay the same price as the main game to get it.

DLC is indeed overpriced, but they are trying to milk as much $ as possible.

Anyone remember back in the day where instead of dlc's you just unlocked them as you play?

This is the worst part of Legendary Edition:
"...and added features like combat cameras, mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode for hardcore players, and Legendary skills – enabling you to master every perk and level up your skills infinitely."

So... if you already bought the game with DLCs, you won't have all the content... I feel scammed.

Then, I bought Street Fighter II, and Street Fighter II Turbo, MK3 and MK3 Ultimate because there weren't updates.

Skyrim's DLCs aren't skins or players (like actual street fighter's DLCs already included in the game)

Combat cameras and mounted combat was added with patch 1.5, Legendary difficulty mode for hardcore players, and Legendary skills was added with patch 1.9
