Help, game keeps CTDing

I am having a problem with skyrim where it immediately crashes as soon as it hits the main menu. It gets past the Bethesda logo, I see the main menu for a split second, then BAM, straight to the desktop. Any help would be appreciated. (I do have mods installed)

What be the best course of action then?

I went throught with BOSS and had it correct my load order. It says there are no conflicts and that all mods are recognized and up to date. I dont have a clue what to do and any EXTENDED words of wisdom would help greatly.

Did you recreate your bashed patch after uninstalling mods?
Since you have Wrye Bash, check the plugin viewer in Wrye for any red boxes [a red box = that mod is missing a required file].

Lastly, you have to go through each mod by disabling them one by one.

A little late, but I got it. I just went into TES5Edit and cleaned anything BOSS said had a dirty edit. Then I went and uninstalled some nonessinital mods for me, about 5 in total. Lastly, I verified the game, and it is now working perfectly. Thank you both for the help, really appreciate it.
