Question about DLC and Mods
I have read alot of the forums since now Skyrim is on sale at a great deal. However, like a lot of people I am a budget gamer and have limated funds. Do a lot of the mods that add more content and quests to the game reuire DLC? Can you download most of the mods and play them with out the DLC? Reason I ask is that it's more then double the price just for the DLC. If you buy the DLC later on then you are going to pay more for the game.

Some do. Some also require the Skyrim Script Extender. I haven't been using a lot of mods, but I don't think the ones I've used require any DLC.

no game should "require" DLC

i really dont think the DLC is needed for some of these mods. It"s a waste of money, but there are a majority of mods that dont require a DLC.

a majority of mods dont require DLCs. if they do, they say so.
however, as a budget gamer, just save yourself the greif and get the legend edition.

A few great mods ask for all DLC's or parts of them so i would suggest that you get them
( there are still a lot of mods that don't )
+
it adds a lot more gameplay to the basic/vanila game.

How many more hours roughly do the DLC add? I heard the base game can last 300 hours.
