What difficulty do you play on?
I started lower, but with the follower tweaks mod I now have 3 followers, so I eventualy turned it up to legendary. Even at legendary fights aren't especialy hard, just... time consuming. Seriously, fight a dragon on legendary. It's like trying to break down a brick wall with some twigs.

how do you pick the difficulty??

There are mods that can radically change combat and difficulty. Give them a look but don't forget to use BOSS and similar programs. Don't know what BOSS is? Check the pinned help thread under crashes and bugs.

Skyrim has a difficulty slider you can change any time you want. Its in the options menu.

Always, always take a look at your options in PC games.

I play on legendary. Even with zero or one follower, it's fairly easy. I don't even abuse smithing/enchanting, although I do *use* them, just not to the extent of doing two hundred plus damage with each swing.

I set my game up with a combinanation of mods and console commands to make it play more like an action game. Average enemies die easily, but so do I. I have low health and a high heal rate.

I play on Legendary with no hud, thus no compass, no crosshairs, no magicka or stamia bars and my health bar is very small and dull, and no eye when i sneak. I use a mod called Sniper sight Dragonbone Bow-designed for no huds

I play on expert, yes I could play on a higher difficulty level but its tough to roleplay as a badass dragon slayer when it takes you 10 minutes to kill a ♥♥♥♥ing troll.

They really screwed up in the difficulty settings. I would like to take more damage but I would also like to not do reduced damage because well yeah... I like to blow ♥♥♥♥ up and not feel like a 6 year old kid trying to beat up his 15 year old brother.
