Glitch

I started skyrim a few minutes ago, and it was working fine, but the images flickered in and out, there one second, and gone the next. I don't know how to contact the company who made the game, so hopefully they see this, or someone emails them about this.

Try to go into Steam and validate your files, also you may have conflicting graphics mods.

Could be graphics card incompatibility or outdated drivers.

Do you use mods? If you do, then it is likely there is a load order problem. Download BOSS and use it. The link below will take you to where you can download it. The pinned help thread will tell you what to do about bugs and crashes.

If you don't use mods, then it does sound like something to do with graphics card compatibility. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to help.

What can I do about the graphics card, because my other games don't flash uncontrollably.

You know what, I think it's because I upgraded my laptop to 8.1. It was working perfectly fine while I still had 8, and I didn't play the game until half a day later.
