Does your GPU have correct power cables attached?
can you try a different game to see if your hardware works?
to acutally check im not sure, i never had problems, maybe monitor your GPu usage during play.
You also can look in the hardware menu of windows whehter your grafics card is intsalled correctly. If it is ,try to deacivate your integrated grafics and try to launch the game again.
The fact that the game says Microsoft Basic Render Driver means Skyrim can't find your video card.
Why not just go to the NVIDIA website and install the latest drivers for your graphics card? I think the NVIDIA website has an option to detect your video card. If that can't find it, then you may have a hardware problem.
