Magic is aiming at the legs?

My magic projectiles seem to be shooting at the leg/waist region like they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ magnets. It's getting really annoying because it looks stupid, the kill cams don't look as cool (yes, I care about that) and there's even a gameplay reason why I hate it: If I want to shoot someone who's is "in cover" my fireball is happily flying towards his waist no matter the obstacle.

Only mod I have that might have something to do with it is Proper Aiming, although turning it off didn't help.

Have you tried moving Proper Aiming to the bottom of your mod list? Did you tweak the ini file as the author suggested?

Disabling the mod probably does nothing. Modder's advice:
Uninstall:
Disable Proper Aiming.esp in SkyrimLauncher.exe
Delete Proper Aiming.esp from your Data folder.
IF you have included the lines from Highly recommended, I recommend you delete them as well.

Load a save from before you installed PA?

Thankfully, you are not an archer so we may look elsewhere for the culprit. Anyhow, the PA seems to be more about archery but works with spells. Try a bow and arrow. Aim for the head. If you hit the poor ^&^* in the knee the nearest chicken is, oddly, going to rat you out.

I see what you did there... hopefully I won't be thrown to the draugrs, amiright?

Anyway, thanks I'll try it.

Edit: Apparently it really is the mods fault. I read a few comments on the page and I wasn't the only one having that problem. I guess I didn't uninstall it correctly.
