OS question?
If I purchase Skyrim can I run it both on Mac and Windows? The reason I ask is because I am thinking about purchasing it on via my Mac here on Steam, but I game on my Windows PC @ home

Apparently it will run on a Mac if you use WINE, BUT, you will have problems running the tools needed to manage mods, sort the load order, etc.

Well that's fine, as long as the game will run on Windows even if I purchase it on my Mac when I am away from home

I do not know how Steam works with respect to having games spread across different computers, or having the same game on two different systems.

I think you can use the `friends and family' service to do it...

The game was designed to be used on Windows, PS3, and Xbox 360. With the Wine program on Mac, it fools the game or whatever program into thinking its actually being ran on a Windows platform. Bethesda did not officially port the game to Mac or Linux. And as to your steam games across different computers, you should have no problem installing anything from your library if the computer has been authorized by you to use your steam account. No Family Sharing needed..
