Can't open Skyrim!
I'm having issues with Skyrim. Yes, I tried contacting Steam. You can guess what they did for me.
Butt-♥♥♥♥ing nothing.

I open Steam, go to Skyrim, and click play. The launcher opens. I click play on the launcher. The launcher closes and steam's "preparing to launch Skyrim" thing comes up. And repeat the loop.

It just won't open, no matter what I do. I've tried going to "properties" by right-clicking on the game in Steam itself, going to local files and verifying the integrity of the game cache, but after it's done it tells me that one file has failed to verify and will be reaquired... and the issue remains. So does that mean that the file hasn't been reaquired? How do I reaquire it? Is this the issue?

What do I do here?

EDIT: Just saw this http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/610574106421157306/
So ignore the file failed to verify thing I guess.
So what's the issue now.... I have no leads.

what have you installed with your game so far?

Why did you try contacting Valve for an issue that has nothing to do with Valve or Steam? Of course they did nothing for you.

The issue is almost certainly you having done something wrong. Whether you've incorrectly installed a mod, incorrectly set your load order, made invalid edits to ini files, or something else along those lines is for you to know and us to not care about.
Well literally nothing has changed since I last opened it. I had mods before, sure, but nothing at all has changed since I last opened Skyrim. So no, it's not something I did. Maybe something that happened automatically, but I haven't touched the Skyrim folder or properties or setttings or mods or anything. I like it just the way it is.

Have you ever installed a sweetfx or something that possibly had you to rename a dll file?
Not that I'm aware of ;-;

Don't even know what that is, so I'm gonna say no.

one of your mods doesnt match up with something. take off the last mod you added.

I'll suggest turning your computer off, waiting a few seconds, then turning it back on and trying agin.

Nope. Nothing has changed at all since it worked. It's not that.

Don't worry my friend, easy thing to forget to try, we won't judge you harshly for that!

I'll even do you a solid by not asking if you're sure your computer's plugged in to a power source. Aren't I helpful?

I didn't see your PC specs posted here though, which should help people help you address driver and/or settings issues. Probably worth a shot, anyway.

It shouldn't have anything to do with that, though fair enough. What exactly do you need?
