The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Vezi statistici:
Markarth, Dryston and a public brawl (spoiler alert)
While investigating the Forsworn incident in Markarth, I get set upon by Dryston outside the Warrens. First time, I just had at him but this led to a brawl in public, which then led to me being attacked by an invigilator or some such magic type bloke. That time I ended up dead coz whatever I threw at this guy, he wouldn't die! Who the hell is he, and why is he invincible? Second time round I had at Dryston back in the Warrens, which at least seemed to stop the invincible invigilator, but the city guard are still all after me. The annoying thing is, there's no real way they could know I've been investigating Weylin, and previously I only asked one Q of the Inn keeper about Margaret! Either their intelligence is fantastically good or they're a bunch of trigger happy paranoid thugs! :)

It's akin to the guards knowing which items on you are stolen when you are arrested.

Did you fight Dryston with your fists?

They are probably reading the same word(s) on the items that your PC is! ;-) That, or they are better at noticing fine print serial numbers than the PC is, as part of their bacic training.

it's a fist-fight until his health bar is almost empty

are they town guards or Stormcloaks, if they are Stormcloaks then you waited too long to do the Forsworn Quest, it must be done before you do the PEACE TREATY.

Thanx all. To clarify; I did fight him with my fists until he suddenly pulled a dagger. The guards were city guards. My point about the conspiritors or guards knowledge was a fairly glib one, however, there is a game design point lurking within. :) Also, no one so far has addressed my Q about the invincible invigilator type guy. I think he may have been the same as the guy who asks if you saw anyone entering that house in Markarth on the hill down to the Inn. I mean, I had a REAL good go at killing him, and he just wouldn't die! If there's a sect/group who are invincible, it'd be good to know eh?

Vigilant Tyranus or something? I didnt know who you meant.
He has a quest, so maybe he is essential until you do that quest.
As for the brawl, after you beaten them (when they're on their knees), you have to stop or everyone will think its an assault. If thats not it either, I dont know.
Those guards know too much for their own good...

Thanx Blood. While it may not have been Tyranus, I think it probably was one of his order. As for the 'beaten to his knees' thing, Dryston pulled a dagger on me, which meant that Lydia and a flame Atronach I'd conjured, just did for him! :) I'm with you on the guards, it's like they're clairvoyant or something! Spooky. :)

With "Oblivion" I blamed it on the Crystall Balls. But this game doesn't seem to have any. SO maybe thay have secret access to psychics?

That guy you asked about, is essential until you do his quest. It is a "haunted house" type of quest in look and feel, but it is, related to the Daedra.

Thanx Leo, just did it. Also spooky! :)

You're welcome, Axelrand! "Spooky" is right! But hey, did you feel like you got even with him for those earlier beatings? ;-) EDIT: By the way, I annoyed the Daedra and the other person, because I stopped to loot everything as I went along, while ignoring their respective demands.

Glad you mentioned getting even, I was thinking 'how am I gonna beat him' but he went down like a sack of s**t. :) Brave of you to annoy a Daedra! I've adopted a strategy of doing all my major looting after completing the quest, so I didn't need to be brave. :)
I think this is a bug that sometimes happens with brawls (also brawls in inns and such), where it's suddenly taken as a 'real' fight and they aggro on you. Think there might be a mod that patches it, but couldn't say for sure.

Thanks! I used to do that too, but then after a few one way only paths, I figured that I may as well do it here and now, just in case I can't return. Especially in places where someone teleports you to a unique place. By the way, it is difficult to use "Take" when items are floating around and the floor is shaking! ;-) Keep on playing!
