Hod and Gerdur Attack me....

Ralof is friendly to me, but Hod, Gerdur, and Frodnar in Riverwood don't hesitate to kill me. Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? :(

Hahaha no I did not kill a chicken. In fact I had no bounty at all. And also it wasn't just Hod and Gerdur, apparently it's everyone in Riverwood.

I think they would only get agressive if you stole something from them or killed one of their farm animals.

Well then I would have some bounty. But my stats tell me that I don't. I'll try going to jail tomorrow and see what happens.

hmm I read on UESP (I think) many moons ago that because they are related to a Stormcloak, there's a situation where if you go against Stormcloaks stuff can occur. Same with the SMith and his wife, cos they're related to Imperial. These are the dudes you escape your beheading with - you choose 1 or the other. Which one did you escape with?

Did you perhaps assult/ kill someone and get a bounty? I had this happen to me the other day in whiterun. Despite killing all witnesses. I just started over since it was a new save but I think you could possibly use console commands to give yourself a new bounty and either serve your time or pay it off.
