There are items in the game that cannot be disenchanted. Mostly Unique items, but i don't know about selfmade for sure.

if u have a high character level, just go to a general goods store, i use the one in whiterun, is usually pickpocket or lockpicking items of some sort. so check the store, then if it doesnt have one go outside and wait 24 hours twice so 2 days, that refreshes shops. if that doesnt work do with all shops until u find the gear u need

I'm not looking for gear, I want to learn the enchantments of sneak and pickpocket :)

You need to find an item with the enchantment to disenchant so you can make new enchantments.

You have to find or buy the right item, like "Ring of Minor Sneaking" or something like that. Can also be a necklace or boots. Then disenchant it and there you go :3

yeh what they said, i assumed u knew how to disenchant already, there is no other way to get enchantments except buying items to disenchant or certain quest items have good stuff on them, also u cant disenchant any clothing types

Depending on your armor, you might want to look at enchantment known as "Muffle." Boots that have already muffled will have 0.5 (equal to 50 %) armor noice reduction. If you use a soulgem - any - to create muffled boots of your own, then the enchantment will be full 1.0 (equal to 100 %).

Only items with 1.0 Muffle effect boots can be obtained near the end of Thieves Guild questline. Nightingale Boots

All other found, bought or otherwise gained boots will have 0.5 enchantment, unless enchanted yourself.

If you cannot disenchant something in your inventory, there are two possible reasons:

1/ it is a unique item (for example "Movarth's Boots" I believe have an enchantment that boosts your sneakiness, but they cannot be disenchanted), or

2/ you already know the enchantment. Easiest way to check is simply look through the list of possible enchantments you could use at the Enchanting Table.

Well, I suppose there's a third possibility: a bug. But I've never heard of a bug that prevented disenchanting certain items.
