I just bought. Someone told me they fixed the fact you can't smith arrows.
I never actually touched the DLCs. I just went around doing the regular game first. I was able to craft arrows in that version, but now that I have officially bought it I cant..
I did just start out though.
I can't remember, do you have to get higher up in the skill tree for smithing?

The dawnguard dlc allows for arrowcrafting.

Mod: " Arrowsmith - Vanilla Edition V.3d" on Workshop. I just started a new vanilla game and discovered the same thing, so got this mod and it works great.

Was it ever really a problem, though? I never once ran out of the arrows I wanted to use. About the time that they become craftable, they're already available in large quantities in the world. Just pull them out of your own flesh and fire them suckers back.

When it takes several arrows to take down a target and you haven't got the perk to retrieve arrows you can quickly run out if you are dealing with alot of badguys. You can sometimes replenish by scavaging the corpes but not always.

Edit: And in the beginning of the game (vanilla) the quality of the arrows is low, usually only iron and steel. I like the damage rating of the ebony arrows myself.

Just buy the DLC. Consider it penance for piracy, if you like.

Always the practical and logical one.

Thats not something Bethesda has any control over, while it is welcome that the COMMUNITY does this, its still annoying that Bethesda themselves didn't do it.

Elder scrolls games are always mod dependent. No one played the vanilla game, except when oblivion was released on console.

Secondly, Bethesda did do it, its in the DLC.

When I first started playing the game to me it was. Even if I don't miss my shots. Because most shopkeepers will sell you so many different kinds of arrows. Dwarven, steel, elven, iron, to the point where to make sure I never ran out of arrows Id just buy them all. So I'd have like 100 of each most of the time.

Meh, I never touched the DLC anyways. I'll just go buy Dawnguard. Never even bothered with the other stuff.
