Un-wanted Craft Exp

I was wondering if there was away to craft Arrows without generating the exp earned at the forge.
The Reason I ask is that I want to progress my char with skills un-related to smithing but it seems that to avoid being poor I must also craft my own arrows.

The most simple thing would be a mod to prevent craft exp at the forge. Is there a mod like this ?

I have searched but have not found anything yet.

Personally I can strongly recommend getting SkyTweak:
Sure, it requires SkyUI and SKSE, but those two things are fairly baseline when modding Skyrim anyways. It got a tab dedicated solely to experience rates, allowing you to set any skill gain to anything between 0.0 to 2.0, in increments of 0.1, where 1.0 is the default. It also provides a great many other tweaks to fiddle with!

Jump height for instance. Glorious, glorious, jump height.

@Smokefish. I have both SkyUI & SKSE so installing Skytweak should be easy.
Thankyou ill try it out ! .

I think its part of the game, if you use a skill then it developes and you cant be expert at everything. Seems like too much to me to turn off experience for one thing, e.g. too much of a cheat. Use arrows you find, loot dungeons to get the money to but them that seems more true to the game to me.............

I've got arrows upon arrows coming out of my.... quiver. I've bought some (cos they kick quiver!) but most have been found/liberated from deceased enemies...

Buying and scavenging are the best non-cheating way to get mass quantities of arrows without having to forge them yourself. The best cheating way is to open the console, type help "type of arrow" and then player.additem it to yourself in mass quantities. I usually give myself a basic crossbow and 1000 bolts at the beginning of a game, since it's kind of a pain to start the dawnguard quest to get them.

If you play skyre it is simple crossbows are immediately at your disposal ... if you don't get horribly murdered by one ... also bolts are not a problem.

Thx guy's. Clearly more than one way to skin this cat :)

Skytweaks is an excellent mod, but it has stoped the exp on my Hunterborn mod for 'Wayfairer', without me wanting it to.

I am not sure why yet but i suspect that the Hunterborn Wayfairer skill may be link to smithing somehow and turning of craft exp has also stoped Hunterborns exp too.
