how do I kill a Jarl??

Jarls are quest characters. You do not just go out and kill them. You need them for Civil War and portion of boynty quests.

There is no help to be given.

If you want to break your game's quests, then look for a mod that removes their essential status.

The only jarl you can kill with a mod (destroy the thievesguild) is maven blackbriar she is replaced again by laila law-giver, but only after the civil war. Btw why are there still people who want to kill everyone? and then they'll complain that their game is broken, because a quest doesn't happen ...

BTW killing a jarl has some far bigger consequence ... you can't get a house or land in that hold

Just out of curiousity, WHY are you trying to kill a Jarl?

they made quest NPCS immortal so people dont break theirr quests by killing them and then find out 20 hours later that their game is screwed.


morrowind let you kill anyone, but then you find out much later that you messed up, its annoying.

Well, you can't, and Jarls are hardly Emperors, so, that's just daft. There's a mod called High King of Skyrim which you might like. Otherwise, have fun breaking your game, I guess.

Well to be fair they did give you the "You done ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up" message for main quest npcs but you didn't get any notice if you accidentally blocked your chances of advancing through the various factions.

Also if you want to kill some important people then you should really do the Dark Brotherhood questline.
