Data folder missing sub-folders

Like the title said my Skyrims data folder is missing a ton of sub-folders this includes my meshes and texture, the only things in that folder are interface strings and video and all of my workshop mods. Can someone help me out?

Okay I'll just tell you the whole story, I went to install some mods to my skyrim and the folders were missing thinking the download messed up I uninstalled it and wiped skyrim off my pc, after reinstalling it the folders where still missing, so I verified the cache it said I had one problem and that it couldn't correct it. Oddly enough my skyrim still runs and all of the vannilla files seem to be there in game. Also it seem the missing folders are now BSA folders if that helps any.

workshop mods

Workshop mods are packaged as "BSA" files, which is a compressed archive that Skyrim can uses for mods. Files located within a BSA do not need to go into "Mesh/texture" folders as Skyrim can acess all required files in the BSA.

You only need "Mesh/Texture" folders for mods that DO NOT use BSA archives. Since all Workshop mods use BSA files, you should be ok with not having those folders.

Yeah, the textures and meshes folders are not installed by Skyrim by default. You need to make them yourself if you are manually installing mods (or they come with the mod archive). Workshop uses the BSA (Bethesda Softworks Archive) to store those bits and bobs.

Every other Bethesda game had those folders installed by default on my pc hell a month ago skyrim had it by default. Also so I just have to make the folders again an I can install mods that dont have bsa files.

Just build the folder hierarchy the way the mod instructs and you are good to go. Very frequently the mod will have the appropriate folder structure already prepared for you in its archive.

Well 15 minutes should be plenty, It worked fine the texture mod works good I noticed a slight decrease in perfomance but thats most likely my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC.
