Sorry I can not be of any help.
I rly don't care of Skjor being around, if it doesn't provoke any troubles with everything else... It's also not the same Skjor before his death, it's the one before you joined the group... I'm worried about this getting everyday more messy and I'm still unable to start a quest from Vilkas after a few days already.... I could even kill Ria and forget about it, but I need to bring the twins at home and I need the save to stay SANE at least the time I need to finish the main quest.. -.-" Then I can even forget about everything different from killing and raising skills (for lv 100)...
The older save I have is much older... I need to repeat a couple dungeons... but if it may be of any help, I'll do that sacrifice of repeating that part.. (that way Adrianne will be alive and Whiterun *should't* be broken)...
This game bugged me singe the beginning.. never worked fine... the first bugs appeared very early (Belethor died against vampires when I was lv 11, and he was never replaced by Ysolda due to a bug) and I had to use the console, at least 3-4 times, to solve them...
Usinf console commands can make thing go wonky sometimes. It may be a bummer but it might be a good idea to go back to that earlier save and see if that helps get things going in the right direction again.
Good luck!
I'll do that if necessary... But no, I've never used console for resurrecting npcs, they do by themselves.. o_o I had to use it to "unlock" a few quests that couldn't end, such are those of archwind's shout word and the talos amulet in solitude.
Back to the problem, I thought thatletting the town reset could've solved, so I did a few quests in winterhold and moved back to whiterun a few days later... And yet there's no way to get a random/whatever quest from Vilkas... I also tried to get him following me and accepted a quest from his brother; now he will show the work option, but obviously won't give me any mission since I've got one already, and after I turn that one in, the problem is back again.
So now this is the situation:
- All 3 totem quests are done, Farkas is purified, Vilkas is not (the heads are always on my inventory, even if Farkas' quest didn't remove one as it was supposed to do).
- A skjor around gives me missions and talk to me as if I'm trying to get into companions
- Aela has all options available, but only gives me beast hunting quests right now
- Farkas also gives me quests, he's working perfectly
- Vilkas only shows the option to make him follow me.. I did lot of other radiants, reseted the town by waiting, tried several other things, but this doesn't change.
I checked the internet, the forums, researched inside this community hub, wikis' talks and found several other people having this issue, but no solution... I'm trying to avoid using console commands as they may break the situation even more, but I'd be willing to use one to make vilkas give me quests in a normal way again, if there's a way... I wish to end this game before having to interrupt it, if I heal myself up I won't be able anymore to cure him, but I have no idea what else to try to unblock the companions' situation.... I am going to marry Farkas meanwhile, but I really wanted to take both in my new house without encountering more glitches....
This is the most annoying, frustrating and shameful gift-bug Bethesda left us along with the full messy companions' quest chain, really, and my head hurts.
It was long time I didn't encounter a so buggy game on my way (since the last Beth game I played before this :S), it started to bother me since the first week of gameplay;
Any help is appreciated.. Hoping there's someone expert enough to have any idea....
It will certainly help with next +300 hours in save.
