If you could be a Jarl, what hold would you rule?
For me, it'd be Solitude

Second question, if Tamriel was just found, and you could have Skyrim's reigon but Skyrim didnt exist, you just saw it as land, what would you call it besides Skyrim and the other reigons

Mine would be Volundrung because that name is ♥♥♥♥in legendary for a hammer

Solitude, perhaps Whiterun.

Solitude or indeed whiterun the north (dawnstar, winterhold, windhelm) are to cold for my liking

Solitude. Probably would call the province Winterfall. :D

I'd go for Riften because the Rift is my favorite Hold since it's the most beautiful region in Skyrim in my opinion. I could try to reform Riften's laws so the city isn't corrupt by getting rid of the Thieves' Guild and other corrupt political and business figures such as the Black Briar family. As to the second question, I'd probably name the province Frigidus Nix, which is Latin for "Freeze Snow".

I'd take the Pale because no one else would want it. Dawnstar is such a nice little village.

Not to play Devil's Advocate here, but how do you know nobody else would take the Pale? Granted there may not be too many benefits there, but at least the surrounding countryside by the city looks nice and Dawnstar is the only populated area where you can find two mines.

If I had a choice, it would be Whiterun. Climate, agriculture and trade routes. Solitude would be a close second due to the access to the sea and obvious wealth (ie taxes).
Whiterun for me. Then I 'd make myself Queen.

I was just making a silly comment, not really looking for a debate about the merits of Dawnstar. It's pretty low on the list of most people who post here.

I would pick Winterfall. I'll have them stop moaning and groaning about the collapsed city, and actually try rebuilding it. I'd recruit the mages to employ their magic to improve the lives of the citizens through magic, and create magical heating for the homes.

Whiterun, being at the center of Tamriel it is a major trading hub. Even modest taxes will bring in a pleasant income.

Markarth

The Rift, nice weather, I'd deal with the corruption, clear out the Thieves' Guild and especially Maven, and definitely incarcerate Grelod.

I'm sorry but I already killed Grelod.
