J'zargo has the unfortunate tendency to fry anyone else I have along with me. Then fights ensue.

Great companion, though. Like Derkeethus and Jenassa and Teldryn Saro and Erandur.

I have my trusty wolf companion.Doesn't do much damage, but keeps the enemy off me long enuf so I can attack them first. She gets in the way sometimes when I shoot my arrows though.

Hmm...how does one get a wolf companion? Or are you talking about Aela?

I'm not sure if he means an actual wolf, but you can use the Tame Beast mod to recruit any animal as a follower/pet. It's actually kind of fun to have a giant bear following you around. One of my personal faves was a racoon follower I picked up :)

Mods have not helped discussions in the forum, that much is for sure.

Raccoons as animal companions? I need to download mods just to understand what you guys are talking about.

I did read somewhere that J'zargo can become one of the most powerful companions in the game at higher levels. Not that I'd know though, when I want a mage companion, I choose Brelyna, the cute dark elf everytime.

(of course, I'm using "cute" in the most generous sense possible)

I'd like a wolverine companion.. smallish but deadly.
