ENB Help?
So I recently built myself a computer for my games however I have been running into an issue with skyrim. whenever I try to launch the game with an enb mod installed the game will start as normal but as soon as it finishes playing he Bethesda logo the game crashes to desktop without any form of error message. this happens with both the wrapper and injector versions, I have tried re-installing both he game and he enb and disabling any background systems I can find that affect my graphics card or skyrim itself, I have not installed any mods besides enb version 0.236 and Seasons of skyrim. I have tried other enb's and presets but they all have the same effect.

I am at the end of my rope here, no mater what I try the game always seems to crash as soon as it starts to load the main menu.

The stats for my computer are:
CPU- intel i5 3570 ivey bridge 3.4 GHz
GPU- EVGA Geforce GTX 660 2Gb super clocked
Ram- Corsair 8Gb
OS- Windows 7 home premium 64

Fixes I have tried are, changing memory values in the ini file
disableing the steam overlay
using he injector version of enb
disableing the nvidia 3d drivers from the prosseses menu

I am running the game from an external hard drive if that helps.

You're not running anything in the background with a screen overlay such as Afterburner or FRAPS by any chance? Because they're not compatible with ENB's.

Not that im aware of, if here are any programs running they are hidden very deep in the sub-prosseses where I can't find them.

Start - type in MSCONFIG look at tags General-Boot-Services-Startup-Tools.
I won't tell what to do that your decision, you decide what you require to run in background.

the program i know will conflict with enbs is razoe's gaming booster, but it'd shut the game down before even go to logo screen.
Did you instal even correctly? Crashing after logo screen sounds like a general mod problem not enb's.

If it crashes right after the Bethesda logo it's because you're missing a master file. You need to check your plugins on NMM. Click on each plugin and make sure that you actually have the listed master files installed for each one.

If you click on a plugin, look to the right and you'll see "Masters:" and then the listed master files required.

I don't hae any mods insalled exept the enb and the dlc packs all of which are acounted for as well as the main skyrim and update esm they all list as masters.

Are you sure the ENB mods don't have certain Master files your missing?

Also, download BOSS. It's a must. You need the correct load order and BOSS will fix that.

If you've done both and the problem still exists then unfortunately i'm out of ideas. But that's what fixed it for me everytime i encountered this problem when downloading heaps of mods. It's almost always because of the master files or the load order.

Boss doesnt help and as far as I know enb doesnt have a master file since it is designed to run on the vanila skyrim game.

Thanks for trying anyway

Have you followed the instructions for installing ENB?

Did you put d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe into your Skyrim folder? And did you run RV_Install after you installed ENB?

I put both files in but the instalation instructions didn't mention RV_instal

You mean like how Bandicam displays your framerate in the game window the same way that FRAPS does? Because I use the HighPitched ENB off the Nexus and ALWAYS have Bandicam open so I know my framerate. Never had a crash 'cos of Bandicam's framerate overlay.

Sounds like OP's issue is a load order problem (which is the exact same issue I had when I first installed the HighPitched ENB). The ENB apparently requires the Nights of Tamriel Level 7 Fix however neither the ENB nor the Level 7 Fix said they required the full Nights of Tamriel mod (which I should have thought of during installation tbh) so this was causing my game to crash at startup, just after the Bethesda logo.

Does the ENB require other mods, which may or may not be missing their relevant master files?
