What is the biggest player home mod?
I am trying to find a good home for my wife, 2 kids, a housecarl or 2, and Vilja. I have them all living in my fully upgraded house in solitude, though it feels cramped, and not all of them can sleep at the same time which feels awkward. I was curious in your opinion what mod would work best? I have seen 2 or 3 player home add ons on the Nexus website

Val Lyrea is fairly large. I'd go through the Gamespot Top 5 series they've featured several really large ones. Val Lyrea is fairly cool but the entry way seems to cause issues with Follower pathing in my game.

Just to add, I'd be very wary of using a house mod from the Workshop unless you bypass the launcher with SKSE or have it set not to auto-update Workshop items (can't remember if that's an option, but I think if you unsubscribe from an item and then reactivate it in data files it should be okay).

There was an awesome house I used to use from here, but it kept getting updated which I am wary of updating a mod mid-game (can cause instability) plus some of the updates caused problems like ALL THE NPCs in Skyrim spawning in the neat little shop the modder had added next door to the house. But the real kicker was, because it was loosely based off Hobbiton, the mod eventually had to be taken down, so it vanished altogether, I'd stopped using it by then, but it caused a lot of people problems. I can't remember if files which are removed from the Workshop entirely are even still kept in the data files.

Yeah, if you find a house you like, or even a collection of mods that you like and want to play a complete character with, I recommend that you disable syncronization and perhaps even consider playing offline. That is what I'm currently doing. Sometimes modders also remove homes at random. Playing offline, however, becomes a challenge if you're still hunting for achievements, though.

That being said, for a Castle, there are a few that I liked. Sjel Blad, Castle Falkreath are two that stand out. Dragontooth Den also stoodout as being pretty large. Not sure if it's still around though.

The Hearthfire home with the extra bedroom option may also work, especially if you build all the beds. That'll give you 6 beds total. If you download an attic mod, which just search for Lakeview manor attic, you'll find them, adds I think 2 more beds as well.

I made this one to suite my personal taste.
I can personally guarantee you thatbi will not and have not ever updated this in such a way that any subscriber would lose so much as one item inside..

I cherish my gaming and would not like it isf a modder did not take the care not to for me. You can ask modders if they might intend to update those cells ;)
..so there it is, Might not be the biggest though it's pretty big,

You shouldn't really need to do that. Providing you copy the mod files and have it in a safe place in the load order you can just unsubscribe from it.

If you're looking for a large player home, Wyvern Rock Castle is a pretty solid choice. The only downside is how easy it is to get lost in the castle. Trust me, I tried that mod and liked the look of it since it was the best castle mod I've ever seen, but I felt like I was getting lost while navigating the castle.

Bear in mind that most player mod houses aren't adoption friendly i.e. you won't be able to move your kids in there without a struggle, if at all.

Theres a mod called Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions that besides allowing multiple adoptions lets you move them into player mod houses, provided that the house mod author has added the elements required by Hearthfire i.e. child friendly beds, practise dummy, child sandbox markers, etc etc.
