fast travel must take you distinct routes... but even if you ran the distinct route the fast travel would take you.. i think ffast travel adds on an hour or two more...

However as I have a life, fast travel is needed.....also later on if you use fast travel alot, you will notice using if for some reason generates a lot more dragon attacks than not using it.
Usually in the places where you would not want them to occur, like in the middle of Riften.
Grr...
That was one of the hardest places to fight a dragon because it was hard to get a good vantage point for arrows and not a lot of room for the dragon to land.
I guess the same could be said for riften, though...lol
