Got the Windstad Manor and just wondering what are the best fish and plants to grow.

Depends on what you want to use them for. You want to make potions, food, or just have something that looks pretty?

you can't grow fish, but you can go fish

I'm assuming the OP means the fish hatchery. WHich will hold one of everything, inlcuding stuff like barnacles. It also doesn't matter if you mix salt and freshwater fish, which irks me a little, but there you have it.

All of them, including salmon. For that, go to a waterfall, catch leaping salmon. Occasionally, you will get salmon eggs, these will grow to full size salmon. I use a mod that expands the base plants, called more plants, so I may have more of an option than you would have. I grow everything that I can plant, but prefer those that are Alchemy ingrediants.

You mean there are actually salmon jumping out of the water near falls?? Damn, now I gotta go find one for my hatchery.

I like a whole mess of dragons tongue. If you use it with fly amanita you get a potion that both resists fire and fortifies two handed, which is awesome if you are a two-handed weapon user fighting dragons.

I prob wont use it for food, mostly potions for buffs/selling. dragon tongue sounds good since the char im using atm is 2-hander.

If you built the kitchen wing onto your house you will find a plate with salmon roe on one of the tables, put in Hatchery and you will have salmon.

You play the game for 400 hours and there still occasional things you've never noticed before. I also discovered if you sample enough ingredients with harmful effects in one go your character collapses after leaving the menu.
I done that on an earlier character of mine. Almost died.LOL

Are you sure that it is not some mod effect? My character is an alchemist and stores all the harmful ingredients in a barrel. Damn bucket is so full, that my lass should pass out every time she empties the barrel in to her inventory.

If you are eating them all then it's no mod effect. The ones with paralysis effects will make you keel over.

MorningLightMountain said "sample enough." Right. Sorry. I am still drinking my morning coffee. No functional brains around here, before I actually wake up.
