Subscribed Mods arent showing up!
so i decided to get the disc version today, and i already had a shared downloaded version of it on steam from a friend.

i decided to go looking through the workshop and subscribed to some mods

when i go to the mod menu they doen show up or appear any where not even in the files, but the workshop said i still subscribed to them.

What should i do?

and

how do i fix?

thank you

Everyone is having that issue. It seems to cap-out at 50, but leaves others as "unsubscribed" in your data folder. Don't drop any of them. They won't re-innitiate if you do!
We're hoping it's just a bug, and not the sign of things to come.

It's a relatively new event, but there are many forum posts on the topic.

how new is this bug

cause i remember this happening a week or 2 ago for the cap at 50 directly after a patch was issued for skyrim.

and Nexus Mod Manager caps you at 255 mods saying thats the limit the game can support.

i havent tried installing mods yet using nexus mod manager today

All 67 of my dloads were running until four days ago.

i dont remember entirely cause i was 1.) really tired 2.) i was rapid fire clicking my mouse to speed things about

but a quick skim over the message that poped up after the update look something along the lines of

"are you sure you want to restore mods" yes or no

cause i jsut got done uninstalling and unscribing to lots of mods.

on that day i leanred that nexus mod manager will only auto install 255 mods and wont go past it claiming anything above wont be loaded into the game or they will increase instability loaded or not

again i was rapid fire clicking so it all happened fast

then after i rapid frie hit yes another message poped up saying

"all mods have been restored and set on no subsription"

thats just what it looked like

forunately all the mods i hated and wanted gone got set on, No!

i believe nexus mod manager will laod them into the game but they will still say no subscirption, I THINK.

The response I received from support looks as though no one knows about the problem. The offered solution placed the error on my home machine.
I never got the update. I'm running this on XP, so that may be why I didn't.
Here's the suggestion they gave me:

did any of that work?????
Ac Mael (Super-Genius!) Mar 22 @ 6:30pm
I'd already done the verification process. All that did was reset my grafics prefs. (I did it again, all the same).
Right now I'm reinstalling the DOTNET Architecture and then the VC Redistribution package. I'll let you know afterwards. ;]

(Who knew anyone was still using Visual C++?!?)

....and REBOOT Time!

It's a variation on the programming language "C++", but rewritten as an Object-oriented language specifically for Microsoft.

....aaaaaaaaaaaaaand Nothing.
No change.
I even went as far as to try subscribing to a new mod, in hopes it would force a "recognition through connection" data stream.
No change.
At all.
in the slightest.

[/quote]It wasn't a Skyrim patch, but a steam patch that seems to cause the problem.
