Replacement for Lydia
In short my game bugged up and I can't seem to find a way to get Lydia out of Shalidor's Maze since she won't leave. Console commands don't seem to work either.

Are there any followers that are a good choice in terms of replacing her?

Pretty much any housecarl. They all tend to cap around level 50 though, there are other followers that level up higher, but I cant recall them off the top of my head.

Thanks, became the Thane of Morthal for the housecarl. Shame I had to leave her though :(

I always liked Kharjo although he is very prone to getting disarmed. Thankfully a glowing red weapon is easy to find when you have to go back through a dungeon to look for it.

Replacement for Lydia: Um...a turd in a toilet is better than Lydia, she's useless.

Here are my picks however:
-Marcurio (Bee and the Barb....i think that's what the Riften Tavern is called)
-Belrand (Winking Skeever)
-Brelyna Maryon (college of winterhold)

She was soloing dragons in my game when I used her. I only stopped using her because I wanted a change and used Kharjo for awhile.
