Mods not loading.
Almost one half of the mods I've subscribed to are not loading. They're still in the workshop. They worked fine yesterday. It seems the mods I have subbed to most recently are the ones not loading. They are still in my data files.

Anybody have this happen to them? How do I fix it?

Help me, Forum Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Something has to be off. First off, check to see if Skyrim is loading the add-ons from the launcher. If they are then yes they are working. BUT a mod can also be overriden by another mod. Like Mod A recreates a NPC to look different, but Mod B gives that NPC a new weapon. Whatever is loaded last will override the other.

Apparently Steam decided to make a cut-off of 50 mods in the workshop.. thus the reason for "half" going missing. I cannot confirm this myself since I do not use workshop. But, other users of the workshop have said so in the link I provided. By giving no warning to this change is causing people to "screw up" their save games, and having to "start fresh" once again. I myself would be summarily p-oed if this happened to me.

@Alkpaz Thanks for the link. It sure is unpleasant. Makes me wonder if Steam really gives a hoot and a half bout its subscribers.

I was thinking of making a meme today on how bad steam customer support actually is, they have monopoly power for the most part and provide terrible service, a simple sticky in the forum could let us know what is going on

Yea, I just got on. I saw this as the first post. Sad to see Steam go downhill.

I am another unhappy Steam customer, I was suprised like many others. Steam limiting workshop mods to 50 is not a good move, it would have been nice for them to let us know before that made this really bad business move. No more steam games for me.

Apparently, vale thinks it does not need to communicate with its community...

Yeah so I just tried to play, while I had 200+ mods and only 50 loaded. Thanks Valve for the warning and letting me know.

Sorry, everyone. Sorry.

(This is a very sucky move, am relieved most of my mods are with Nexus, and sorry for anyone whose game has been knackered by this.)

Simple answer...use Nexus. I am glad i have just 12 workshop mods installed...but over 40 for Nexus.

Can somebody link me to the nexus skyrim mod manager for nexus please?

Is there one specifically for skyrim? cause, I've been using FOMM for Fallout.

NMM can be universally used for several games that the Nexus supports.
