Skyrim 100%
How long would it take (on average) to complete Skyrim 100%? All side missiona and main missions. This is excluding the DLC, any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, I want to start a new character and I am going for 100% completion, and was wodering how long it would take. I have heard some people say they have been playing the game for 4000hrs and they still haven't got 100%

With all side quests? No way 300 hours is enough - not for an "average" playthrough. I'd say around 500 hours min.

For a speedrun it is :P

I don't know personally why anyone would want to speed through the game...isn't the point to take your time? Hell, I don't even run. I walk.

I always get distracted by thinking i'm supposed to be somewhere in the game but can never find out where it is or what i was supposed to be doing.
Then i go kill some mudcrabs.

I don't plan on speedrunning. I walk to most places/objectives.

Have you ever seen speed runs on twitch? These people HAVE played through the game extensively at a normal pace, many times most likely, but speed running is a challenge to beat the game (in this case defeating Alduin) in as little time as possible.

Heh, but I don't think that is what the OP had in mind, Kappa.

Ghost, do you plan on completing all of the faction quests as well (Thieves, Dark Brotherhood, Companions)? I think I'd definitely allow 1000 hours or so.

Took me around 200hrs to complete everything but Soltsheim, including additional quests from mods > Interesting NPCs <.
hedgie_yozh Mar 18, 2014 @ 2:00pm
Given that the Interesting NPCs quests take longer than the main quest, I highly doubt it, Pip.

Hahaha. Bob, I think he did the 'completely uninteresting NPCs" track.

I use several op spell packages made by Warriorkeke ( they're simply too fun ) and typically increase my weapon damage and movement speed via console. I also skip most of the dialogue. Not everyones cup of tea, but I'm a busy person...

Hehehe not to mention that skipping the dialogue for the interesting NPCs completely defeats their purpose...

I think the OP was looking for legitimately finishing the game.

I don't think I know anyone that has completed all the quests (Main, or side), even with the 'Interesting NPC' legitamately, but I could be wrong, but doubtful.

Several quests tend to glitch and can't be finished without using the console. And while this is a personal opinion, I think the combat in Skyrim without mods or other tweaks is outright awful.
