Main Quest: Elder Knowledge glitch

So this story quest is glitched for me. It tells me to go to the college of winterhold and talk to Urag gro-Shub to ask about an elder scroll, when I talk to him theres no option for an elder scroll, is there a way to bypass this quest stage so I can continue the story?

If you already talk to Septimus Signus before this quest or completed all the college of winterhold questline, the option not show because a glitch. You can go talk with septimus (if you did) or go to tower of mzark in Blackreach, through Alftand. The quest stage code is "setstage MQ205 80".

I already did that and I don't have an optionf or him either, I talked to him and did the cube quest and I have another quest to find the dragon scroll for dawnguard that took me to him, but thats coming up blank on the map as well :(

just go see Septimus Signus at his outpost on the ice flow to the north of Winterhold, the quest will continue without the college being in the quest line

Again, I've gopne and sene him, only option I have for dialogue is to ask hoim why he's so eager to open the cube thats it.

Suggest you check the various Wiki pages for a solution, seems there are a number of bugs associated with this quest, I had one myself where i obtained the Elder Scroll but the quest wouldn't update, kept telling me to locate the scrolll when I had it already, i had to use a console command to force the quest on.

Yeah thats what I'm having trouble doing, using the ocnsole. FOund some commands but just having a hard time filtering through all the information when I find the quest target information.

If you've already done Septimus' quest to get the one scroll. It shouldn't be directing you there. If I remember right it's obtained through the quest to find Serana's mother.
