If you are in Markarth and a Vigilant of Stendarr asks you to help him with something, you should probably avoid it unless you want your paladin to have a very heavy conscience afterwards you will be forced to kill him by Molag Bal who will then send you to find, rescue, and bring to him for 'punishment' a priest of Boethiah. You can, of course, ignore that part of the quest, but once you are inside the house with Tyrannus, you have no way out other than to kill him and at least pretend you'll do MB's bidding. Similarly, helping out the Priest of Arkay in the Hall of the Dead in the same city introduces you to a woman who claims she knows your deep, dark secret - that you are a cannibal. You can either tell her she's a monster, in which case she will become hostile, or express confusion/disbelief, in which case she will say something like 'it's okay, you've probably made yourself forget' and enlist your help killing some draugr. Once you've dealt with them (in a separate location) she will ask you to bring the priest 'for dinner'. Yeah. Once you bring him there, you do have the option to refuse to go along with it and kill the assembled cannibal scum, though, so it may be worth going along with it, as otherwise you only kill one cannibal, and never know that certain other NPCs are among her little group of Namira-worshippers.

You might, however, wish to compromise a little and work with Meridia who wishes to cleanse her... can't remember what she calls it, it's not a temple, but anyway. A location near her shrine, has been taken over by Foul Spirits And That and she enlists your help to cleanse it - on the one hand, this is assisting a daedra, on the other hand you are destroying foul evil spirity things and also the reward she gives you is a pretty cool sword for using on undead.

this is where u will find the LIMITS of the game. there are people (NPC) in the dark brotherhood and otherplaces in the world that are classified as ESSENTIAL. that means u CAN NOT KILL THEM which in turn means u CAN NOT exterminate/wipe out different factions and NPCs in the game in general which means u cant destroy the dark brotherhood. There are however some MODs that allow u to do this, but it does change a few things here and there to make these options available. These are really things that Bethesda should really try and work on for the next Elder scrolls game. Complete freedom when it comes to quests and actions should be the ultimate goal :P. ... dont think there will ever be a game that can do that though :P. one option, for instance if someone decides to Destroy the city of Solitude, would be to apply some kind of "neverending spawning soldiers" that would represent reinforcements. Not that funny but would be an easy solution. Lets hope they evolve the game and make it even more free and with even more options in the future.

@Freleo

You actually can destory the Dark Brotherhood. You can however, not do so after you've joined. You'll have to kill Astrid when you wake up in the shack.

Yeah, one member of the Dark Brotherhood escapes, but the organisation itself is pretty much finished.
freolo78 15. März um 5:44 Uhr
and like gnewna says they have already some options but they are pretty limited. Its not easy to completely go with either the complete "light" or "dark" side. The divines and the daedric lords rule most of these things and sort of afffect what is good and bad in many things in the game and thats why u still get to do quests related to things like that. TES games are still unique as far as i know when it comes to "living" in a world and being able to affect things in it in so many ways.

@Gnew

The only reason as to why Babbete escapes is because.. well, she's a child. Bethesda can't risk anyone suing them for "inappropriate content"

thanks for all the info. I might see how those sort of quests play out (where you dont really have a choice) as if I get forced to do something in the gameworld (like how you say a character forces you to do something) then i will allow that because my character wanted to do good and then has no choice.
Thanks

There is, but one member of the DB is classed as a child by the game and therefore she is mysteriously absent (well, off assassinating someone) when you go to raid the Sanctuary so you don't have a quest telling you to kill a child.

my main idea is to go against all undead and anyone that wants to harm humans on the whole. this also means siding with the blades and killing parthanax because humans are the ones made in the image of the gods blah blah blah crusade blah

Yup, tbh it would probably add a bit of depth to your character (and the only way to avoid VT - who force greets you if you walk close to him - is to always walk on the other side of the stream by where he stands or refuse to help him, not exactly the actions of a holy warrior!)

haha indeed. I look forward to starting this shortly :D

Is there any mods anyone would reccomend.i have quite an unmodded game besides making it look beautiful and some immersive weather and FX such as lighting, footprints, npcs runnings from vampires and such

Can't think of anything off the top of my head, but I bet there are some pretty sweet weapons and armours that you can add to the game, nice shiny white armour, say. There's a lovely retexture of either the glass or Elven armour (can't remember which, think it's Elven) which Gopher reviewed on one of his Mod Sanctuary videos on YouTube, possibly number 16 - the episode was all about the glass and Elven armours, though, so if you search for that you should find it. It's light armour, though, which might not go with the paladin thing, I suppose.

ow yea.... forgot that coz i always do what astrid says anyway since i want as many quests available as possible :P
