What enb/graphics enchancer should I run?
I tried running realvision with a gtx 650 but I could not handle the frame drop. Would the performance version of realvision make any diffference or are there any other enbs that are lees intensive out there that I would be able to use?

Are you using Realistic Lighting Overhaul or Enhanced Lighting & Effects or similar lighting overhaul mod? That'll give you a massive improvement in lighting and colour overall and no performance hit.

ENB's are just icing on the cake IMO and allow you to tweak things, but don't do much more in my experience and I don't like DoF really. Most give a big hit to FPS and I'm not a fan honestly, I think they're overrated.

Getting performance would help yea, it has less of the effects on such as DoF (parameters you can change yourself in the ENB menu [shift+enter], if you're confident rooting about in there).

What sort of FPS are you getting, out of interest? I'm on a GTX 660 with RealVision with everything turned on/up. Probably average around 25+ (sometimes less) external, and 40+ (sometimes less) interiors. That's fine for me to play and quest away, 30 frames is persistence of vision anyway. If it gets really bad, then you can just turn the thing off in the ENB menu and watch the FPS shoot up again, then back on in a less 'laggy' area for screen archery or whatever.

Just get the Cinematic Lighting ENB http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4142/?.
It may be outdated but the performance drop is the least compared to all other ENBs I've tried and makes the game look a heck lot better than most ENBs out there. So much so, you won't even need extra Realistic Lighting blah blah mods.
Plus the installation is extremely quick and simple: just drag and drop the contents into your Skyrim directory.

Most ENB - presets drastically change the overall look of your game. If you're really set on using one I suggest watching these videos for comparisons and pick the one you like:

Also, consider that most ENBs eat 10+ fps.

As someone running Skyrim on a 460 I would highly recommend RCRN[www.rcrncommunity.com] combined with Enhanced Lighting & Effects for a great looking Skyrim with minimal performance loss.
