Immersive weapons its on the nexus has great 1 and 2 handed weapons in the pack.

I like "Excalibur", "Rapier", and "Glimmer" myself. I have all three from the Workshop. I use Rapier almost exclusively.
Rapier isn't exactlly a "Lore Friendly" per say.
EDIT: Excalibur by KARASHO, Rapier by ZealotWarrior, and Glimmer by Elvarheim.

SkyRe introduces a load of weapons as well as overhauling the game. You can find it on the nexus. It's a large mod but it does cover a huge amount of the game making it a more spiritual successor to Morrowind.
Someone made a Chrysamere mod a while ago, I believe it is on the Steam Workshop. Since it's an artifact from TES: Arena, I'd say it's fairly lore-friendly, and plentifully shiny.

Thanks for the Info MPD. Bookmarked ;)
I will second Immersive Weapons. I use Immersive Armors too. I have to say, I don't think I've hit a point yet where I'll see one of the newly-added weapons or gear and it seems grossly out of place. For the most part, I often wonder if an item was actually added by the mod or is part of vanilla.

Out of personal desire, I've also added the Sai mod (screenshot of it in my game here: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/3299192186060257300/1F86ED75EAA62BDD24C5326D86F8C4414A164849/). Even though it's probably not very lore friendly, it kind of works too, except for some of the kill animations.
