Oblvion Replayability
How replayable is Oblvion compare to Skyrim?

How does Oblvion compare to Skyrim in sheer volume of quests and quests that you would judge as above average?

*has Morrowind aged better?

This thread has been replayed.
But to answer your quest. No. Oblivion and Skyrim have the same feel replay wise.

LOL, dusty old threads from the archive aside, I certainly would not agree that they were equally replayable.

Oblivion started to get tired by my second playthrough but I didn't have any other games to play at the time so I kept at it anyway. It got really boring for me and I never touched it again.

Skyrim, on the other hand, is just one of over a hundred games I have yet I play it again and again and again.

For me, one is clearly more replayable than the other but I get that others may not agree. I say good for them, they are getting better value out of their game purchase than I did.

Matter of opinion of course, but I find Oblivion the least replayable of the lot. The caves and dungeons are very, very repetitive. Yes, Morrowind has aged better.

Yes, the caves in oblvion are very redunant. Skyrim did a better job of making the caves feel like like places whereas in Oblvion the caves started to feel like a half finished mazes.

But what about the Main Quest? Oblivions Main Quest was the longest I think. And the Theives Guild in Oblivion was insanely long too. Aside from those which game do you think has 1. More and 2. Longer side quests.

The guild/faction quests in Oblivion were much better, particularly the Dark Brotherhood (I don't care for the DB much, but that game had the best story in that regard, by far.)

oblivion is much better for character builds, you cant become godly in every skill so you have to be a bit more creative and think about your build rather than just pick some random thing then just go at it

I thought the Oblivion caves were somewhat randomly generated (I know the oblivion gates are) but the Skyrim caves and dungeons were all handmade and placed?

I just hated Martin.
Main quest wise Skyrim was better. Side quest wise Oblivion was better. Both have quest markers. But I love Oblivion for its foresty areas. I need to mod Skyrim to have tons more trees. :P
