Leveling Very slowly
So, I looked up on Steam and youtube o making a skill legendary and the benifits. Basically a "prestige" the skill and make it better get your skill points back, while making it easier (or hard if you picked a skill to level up slowly ) to level up.

Now I made my smithing legendary (made sure I saved before I did it cause I had a feeling it would screw up or something or I didn't like it) and continued to level it up. Cool things works swell. However, I noticed that instead of leveling up like any other skill that wasn't legendary it was going slow. I leveled up my smithing 60 times before I leveled up my character. Is thisi supposed to happen?

If so, I'm not interested in leveling my character. Or if it's a bug and there is a fix for this.

If you could shed some light on the situtation I'd be greatful.

Thank you for your time.

Have a nice day (or other side of the world, Night lol )

yeah as you get higher in levels it takes longer to level up. Before when you were level 1 it would take say 3 or 4 increases to get to level 2. If you are on level 30 say it would take 10-15 increases to level up to level 31 and so on.

Making a skill Legendary is only good if you want to allocate the perks someplace else or if you can level up that skill again from 15 to 100 really really fast (skills like Illusion, Alchemy).

Do you have a mod like Skyrim Redone installed - that changes the speed at which skills are gained based on level.

Well I can always go the painfully slow way to get them back. Level it up to a 100 every time and just level up that way to get the dragon armor skill again. I have the patience for it lol

Note to self, don't do it again lol

Never heard of it. I have a few mods but that is just gaining ep for smelting, cooking, and tanning. That's all I really need. I did have a RE Remake Mansion Mod. Should probably reinstalll it and look for that mansion lol

Oh I also have the Vampires Don't Attack Towns Before Starting Going to the Castle Mod (Mouthfull I know but I can't think of the specific name lol) but I disabled it. I didn't get the DLC yet. I have plans for it. Just been very busy with work and saving up money for computer parts.

Theres the 3 standing stones near Riverwood that levels either mage, thief or warrior 20% faster so would have to pick the right one when levelling up a certain skill, or you can go for the Lovers Stone near Markarth which levels up all skills 15% faster. Lovers stone is the better option i guess.
