ENB only detects integrated graphics card
I have a laptop with integrated Intel 4000 HD and an Nvidia Geforce 740M. I installed the Realvision ENB mod but whatever I do, it only detects the Intel 4000 HD as displayed on the top right. This is disabling a lot of the effects such as DoF, Bloom, Volumetric rays etc.

Does anybody have a fix for this? I tried the injector AND the wrapper version to no avail.

Try a BIOS update, the same thing happened to me and an update cured the problem.

try this custom d3d9.dll creator.
place the created .dll in skyrims installfolder, where tesv.exe is

But for this I'll have to install the wrapper version right?

Because I've been advised to not have the d3d9.dll file mixed with the injector files. Anyways I'll remove the injector, add the wrapper and try your method out.

But your dll generator is also only detecting my integrated graphics card I'm afraid.

I am VERY sorry but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do this. Do I just copy paste the graphics card name or what?

there are 2 options:
list and text
in list you can find example how to write your videocrads name
in text you can write your video card. i wrote NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
you should write NVIDIA GeForce 740M
you can also try detect my card #3 slow. this scans your pc for a video card. it should find 740M as card. if not, use the text option

then click on Generate DLL

Tried this method many times and the DLL came to a kb or so. Opened it and it had less than 2 lines. Hence the ENB didn't run when the game was opened.

The RenderInfo.txt in the Documents/My Games/Skyrim folder still has Intel 4000HD as the graphics card. The launcher is able to correctly determine the graphics card though. Sometimes it detects properly, other times it doesn't.

Updated bios, adapters, drivers everything. Still this damn issue is bugging me...

try correcting rendererinfo.txt and setting it to read only

Nope. Changed the graphics card in it to NVIDIA GeForce 740M and it still shows up in the ENB as Intel HD

just had this idea:
disable energy saving modes or set your video card for maximum quality

I had the same problem. Don't use the wrapper version. Install the Injector version and run it before starting Skyrim. Works like a charm.

I hope you didn't follow the jackass advice to mess with the bios.
