Quest won't advance at the peace council meeting with the greybeards (Main Quest III: the Fallen)
The quest requires that I sit on a chair in the council room in order to negotiate a truce in order to trap a dragon. The problem is that none of the NPCs will sit down at the table with me. what should I do?

Well I had once the saaida bug she wouldn't follow me to the gate I tried an unrelenting force shout in the bannered mare .... big mistake. The only thing I can think of try reverting to an earlier point maybe that will help.

Make a save, load that save

You need to sit before anyone else will. It can take a while for angier to start the meeting. Leave your companion outside because they sometimes take a seat they aren't supposed to.

Please I have the same problem and nothing works...Isn't there a fix mod or something?

I had to reload the last saved game multiple times before it worked.

I've been struggling with this for over half an hour and I finally found the solution!! Go to your journal (the thing that shows you all of your quests) then deselect the quest called "The Fallen" and select the quest called "Season Unending". The arrow will point to the proper chair to sit in and once you sit in it, the quest will finally advance.

Thank you!

If I may, anyone who has encountered this recently, I ran into the same problem, looked for many solutions etc. But none has worked for me (yes I even did the setstage command and that only proceeded the quest, but left everything else still in session). I found a solution! Simply uninstall all the "Unofficial" patches (Skyrim/ Dawnguard/ Hearthfire/ and Dragonborn), then make sure to run "LOOT" or "BOSS" to fix any conflicts which may occur in the process of deactivating these patches. You'll need to run TES5Edit to clean any dirty edits for the ".esm" files. After that load the save and proceed into the council and have a seat and wait for all to join you. The quest (For me at least) proceeded as normal (Without console command). Hope this helps for future and present troubles :D

Anyone still having this problem check this out "no one take a seat in "Season Unending quest" by Francis J. Underwood uses the KISS princple.
Solution:
As you walk into the room stop next to Gunmar select Console Mode click on Gunmar and type : disable <Press enter> and then type: enable and <Press enter> exit console and continue on to the seat allocated to the Dragonborne.
Everything should continue on, instead of everyone just standing around waiting for the bar to open hehehe LOL.

I also did the same procedure with Ulfric just in case but I think it was Gunmar who was the problem child. Thanks to Francis J. Underwood whom found the solution.

I have no idea why that worked, but it did. Thank you. It's Galmar, not Gunmar.
