Whiterun Glitch
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I work my character up to level 30 or so (it varies) and if I try to enter either Breezehome (I own it) or Dragonsreach, the game freezes up. I have to exit the game, clean Update.esm and Dragonborn.esm as they now have dirty edits, and restart my game. It has gotten so bad on some of the games that I have had to start a completely new character since the game crashes in Whiterun each time. I'm getting a bit frustrated. What really makes me crazy is that I wind up having to clean Dragonborn whether or not it is active in my load order.

Nope. Sounds like a mod issue, I have never had anything like that happen

Not Whiterun. I have a breezehome mod that's pretty major, and I have been playing this game for a long time and have run 3 or 4 different home mods without that happening.

Dragonborn caused me all kinds of problems when it came out. Have you got the current unofficial patch and BOSS? That might help otherwise.

Breezehome mods can cause problems in whiterun also. I had my share when I had a extreme breezehome mod. i went back to one a little simplier but had evrything i needed and all was well after that.

Thanks for the help. I have no mods that affect either Breezehome or Whiterun except for the house mod Pleasant Lair. I never had a problem with that one and actually manageed to get to level 60 with that mod active. I haven't heard about any problems with the mod from anyone else. I have BOSS and run it every so often, to double check since I will try out different mods after clean saving. Rabidnid--thanks, I'll try the patch.

Installed the patch, went to Whiterun, tried to enter The Bannered Mare...CTD. Frustration, thy name is Skyrim
