Game crashes to desktop every time i start it
Hi Folks,

So when I try to start Skyrim it crashes back toe desktop after the loading screen from my savegame. I tried to uninstall all mods and reinstalled the game but nothing seems to work.

I hope you can help me out.

What is your load order for the game and D.L.C.'s, do you have the unoffical patches

No DLC's and all mods unsubscribed, except for the high res texture (official).

Well, it tells me one item is missing and is retrieved again, but the problem remains..

Okay, sounds like you'll have to reinstall Skyrim, as you have messed up files. If you do reinstall let me know and i will tell how to do it correctly

Well when I start a new game it works fine. Looks like my save file is messed up. I guess that means that I can start all over again..

After you delete local content, you MUST go into DOCUMENTS/MY GAMES and delete all things Skyrim

Be careful NOT to use mods that requires a D.L.C., as you said you have no D.L.C.'s

Could that be the issue? I've started a new game. Was about time i did so anyway.
Do you know a good graphics mod collection that does not require DLC?

I don't use graphic mods or mods that make me more powerful, i'm into immersive and realistic mods.

When modding your game you need to look for REQIUREMENTS to run that mod, and always read the comments from other players.

No dlc maybe some house mod that requires hearthfires or so?

File verification always has one file that "needs to be downloaded." Steam does that for everyone. That one is not the problem, or something you should worry about.

If game crashes straight after Bethesda logo, then there are one or more files missing masters.

If game crashes straight from loading, then save is either bloated from data or missing data from mod it was depending on.

Sounds to me that your problem is with latter. You most likely had mods missing data from other mods/DLCs. Save got busted and there isn't much we can do about it.
