The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Vis statistikk:
I swear this game is scheming to kill all my horses!
Fifth horse on my current character.

Latest horse killing plan was ridiculous, i got tag teamed by 2 bears, 3 frostbite spiders and 3 trolls, seriously.

Those damn bears are practically horse seeking missiles.

Welcome to the club.

2 mods you need.

1. No Predators on Roads
2. Convenient Horse

The first will get rid of the con-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-stant wolf attacks when riding down the road. Doesn't *remove* them, just moves their spawn points away from the roads.

The second allows you to make your horse either cowardly (will run away from combat instead of diving in like some sort of berzerkergang) and/or make the horse essential/invulnerable (your choice).

Also allows mounted charge attacks on your enemies.

If you have Dawnguard, go get Arvak. Shadowmere is also a good choice.

this thread describes my skyrim life so well. I stopped buying horses.

I can strike but the hand wpns just throw the enemies around and doesn't do any damage. Bows work great though.

You may have a problem with the install - did you clean the mod with TESVEdit? That sometimes makes changes to the size of the angle that marks allowable attack areas which makes attacks outside of a very narrow cone directly in front of the horse fail to do damage.
Yup I checked it with boss and no dirty edits. I have gpotten use to just jumping off my horse and fighting from the ground. I also had horses for follwers, but they never would get on their horse after assigning them one, so I removed that mod. I don't use follwers that much anyways. I have a wolf follower ATm and that is enough for me.
I check boss right after adding any mods. If I have a dirty edit I then run tesvedit.

skyrim is still a very good investment. Even though the devs arent updating anymore (I think)
the modders keep up a steady stream of new content that should keep you occupied.

heck, Morrowind is still a good investment :)

I think you wandered into the wrong thread.

Horses are worthless because unlike real horses who'll run a mile and a half at the first sign of a major predator, Skyrim's horses insist on being foolhardy brave and getting themselves killed all the time. Absolutely no brains at all.

There is a mod which lets you change the horses to cowardly so they run away instead but I can't remember its name. Someone will mention it.

I now use Essential horses, cause I got tired of buying horses or not using them because I love mounted combat. I have essential dogs too. I like to use magics and I kept shooting Meeko in the face cause he was a good dog and kept protecting me from the evil draugr. I'm not a dog-killer, I swear!

Convenient Horses mayhaps?

I believe so, since that is the one I am using and I have FROST run away in battle.

Hehe, horse seeking missiles. I had a problem with that in oblivion but actually not in Skyrim. Only lost one horse I think.
