skyrim minimizing to desktop
can anyone help me my skyrim keeps crashing to desktop since ive updated to windows 8.1, so far ive tried getting a new skyrim.ini file but to no luck, i tried adjusting the sound, and most recently restoring my pc back to windows 8 and now it says im mising skyrim.esm i legally bought the game off steam in january. and every time ive tried verifiying the integrity of my game cache it says 1 or so files are missing and it will be re-aquired but they never are and the problem still persists ive been trying to fix this for the past 2 weeks. anybody have any solutions

also ive tried running the games with all mods removed and all saves deleted incase it was due to those being curropted

also im pretty sure its not my pcs specs

1. Don't worry about the files verification - it will always say that one file is missing.

2. Open up your Skyrim game directory and open the \Skyrim\data folder and look to see if a file named Skyrim.esm is there.

If it isn't, you need to re-install the game.

if your game is incomplete, just right click - properties - local files - verify integrity ... it will replace broken or missing files
