The next Elder Scrolls, what you think it would be based on ?
In oblivion they hinted about skyrim through out the game, talking about how troubles in the north and in bruma always talked about skyrim from time to time. now skyrim is out and been out for a while what would you think the next elder scrolls could be? If anyone is intrested in posting feel free to do so :) as long as its on topic.

Honestly, and I was talking with my friends about this, I think that the next game should be centered around the Dwarves in their prime. No more "Dwarven Ruins", but that while it's being operated BY the Dwarves. I think this would be sick, but I'm just a sucker for the Dwarven Culture in Skyrim.
Next Elder scrolls...hmmm, speculation time:

I haven't a clue where the ''next'' game would be set in, but I do know that I'd like to see more expansion in map navigation. For example, you have Skyrim, then as with the DLC add ons, you can have traveling points which take you to another map. So in effect multiple maps. This way, we could see the next game being BIG...possibly covering more provinces of Tamriel, which would make for a far more lasting game.

One confined pen-like map is just not cutting it, I am getting bored very easily with not being able to TRAVEL anywhere...just run around in the one tiny pen like a sheep.

Come on Bethesda...I know you guys made SO much content in interior cells...but let's see some more territory expansion/navigation systems! This would open the game up for hunter/trader RPGamers like myself.

The whole of tamriel!
Co-OP play!
More monsters, more varieties of
More voice actors, please!
No more crappy vampire DLC (at least do it right)
An end to the jack of all trades levelling system
Did i say more monsters and Co-oP?

Oh and a new engine with less loading and better graphics on ultra.

No to the ''Jack-of-all-trades'' levelling system sounds very good.

Fallout 3 was closest I saw to this. New vegas blew it open which satiated your desire for advancement but dilutes the whole Role playing theme...

This is an important point, good job Bill.

Everyone has gotten really fat and you're the only skinny person around, you're also really buff, so you plan to somehow get rid of all the fatty foods.

Why not? I'm talking about a LAN play, not internet like ESO. I think it would be awesome personally...
LAN sounds ok, just not like ESO's co-op.
Having seen the fiasco that Borderlands multiplayer causes on the forums, of people spamming: ''Can someone get me this weapon or level me up or....'' I dread to think what the Elder Scrolls Forums would end up like :/

Despite my Gf and I desperate for TES co-op, (also waiting for ESO to drop its extortionate subscription fee), I wouldn't like TES multiplayer to be filled with unwelcomed results.

(i) In my opinion, I think TES Multiplayer idea is great! It should have its own multiplayer missions which bring multiplayer-exclusive gear...and have seperate multiplayer questlines; Borderlands quest/multiplayer system, although quitye clever, is not very nice; solo play and multiplay should never ever be merged in save progress...no no no no no!

I would love nothing more than to run around, my Khajiit chasing after my Gf's cat-girl in Skyrim or wherever...whilst giggling to each other on voice chat, making items together at the Forges...going on Bandit hunts, and ingredient forraging...Camping together (Frostfall)...It would be truly awesome! TES is a very very good game and I cannot see nothing else being made...there has GOT to be another in the series...hence this thread:

TL; DR:
Although we would mainly be speculating as to where the next one could be based (like the Fallout thread) I like the OP's question of WHAT the next one should be based on...well... I would like to see it based on the Borderlands' Multiplayer model, but with/without my afore-mentioned point (i)

Well, when it comes to plot, there have been hints that the series' next installment could be based in one of many locations. Still, I think there are fewer hints pointing to Elsweyr than, say, Valenwood or Blackmarsh.

1. We know the Thalmor are long-game players who were invested in a fragmented Empire and a fragmented Skyrim. Their goal in Skyrim was to perpetuate the uprising for as long as possible. Whether or not the Dragonborn sided with the Empire or Ulfric, the Empire's hold is crumbling.
2. The Thalmor have engaged in ethnic cleansing amongst the Altmer and Bosmer people.
3. We have no idea why the Argonians sacked the remainder of Morrowind. Well, we know why they would, just not the mechancis of the situation or the degree of their organization. The politics of Black Marsh are nebulously defined thus far.
4. Political strength in Skyrim is no longer coming from Solitude, but Windhelm. The only two Jarls who seem to be able to inspire any degree of loyalty or political savvy are Ulfric and Brunwulf Free-Winter. The Argonians have a foothold in Windhhelm and the Rift, but their living conditions are pretty abysmal, and this shows no signs of improving. If they wanted to make a move on a war-torn Skyrim, they could, just as they did in Morrowind.

Elsweyr is a strong possibility based on the heavy Khajiit presence in the game, they seemed to be more prominent in Skyrim than in previous ES titles. To back this up, I'd also like to suggest that Bethesda may want to wow us with new types of environments and cultures that will be distinctly different from past titles. A game set in Elsweyr has the possibility to have the unique and otherworldy feel that Morrowind had, versus churning out another European medieval setting that we've seen so many times already. I for one give Elsweyr my vote as the new setting for ES 6. Vast deserts and jungles, caravans, hidden oases, ancient desert cities and temples, sandstorms. It would have an exotic ancient arabian feel. And can you imagine what a great soundtrack Jeremy Soule could create for such an environment?
