This is the load order provided by the Unofficial Patch Project Team basically they fix most of the stuff that the dev's didn't get around to doing. The unofficial patches are not required but are recommended by many players.
After you load a game?
After starting a new game?
Just after/at the Bethesda Logo?
These kind of details will help us narrow down your exact problem, rather then wild guessing XD
1. If the game won't start it's usually a problem with either Steam not connected or the program example being missing or corrupt files.
2. At or just after the Bethesda Logo is that your mods are not in the right order, mainly the esm's and unofficial patches. I had to use the BOSS tool to straighten that out.
3. after starting a new game, I have found that it is ussually a specific mod or two mods that incompatible a good example of that is the Ethereal Elven Overhaul and XCE(better face textures and anything that makes the outside ground more realistic(becuase of the way the physics works you end up in this death spiral that freezes the game on the way to helgan.
4. The most infuriating one is though is the random crash to desktop. There is the least amount of help out there for that. I figured it out about a year, year and a half ago but never thought to pass it on to anyone and had to refigure it out again when installed skyrim on my new computer. Everyone thinks that it has to do with the mod you have or your computer but it doesn't. It's a connectivity issue with steam. You can fix it by putting steam in offline mode when you play skyrim. I just played and hour and a half in the afternoon and three in the evening and i didn't have a single crash, yesterday I was crashing to desktop every ten to twenty minutes...
Why are so many posts being necroed now ? D: *stalks off >_>*
Game crashes to the desktop as soon as the first screen, bethesda screen apears. it then crashes as soon as the bethesda bit finishes.
