Ok then, as I said, the house only consists of 3 rooms (2 cells), The main room, a basement and a guest room in the basement (I'm willing to expand on these, if I've missed something essential).
The house has 2 beds (1 in the main room, and the other in the guest room), an alchemy and enchanting station, cooking pot, 1 display-case, 1 mannequin and 2 weapon plaques, and an anvil. There are also various containers inside.
And outside there's a forge, smelter, workbench, grindstone, tanning-rack, chopping block, some training-dummies, a fishing-hatchery and 2 apiarys (The mod will require the Hearthfire DLC, however I'm planning on making a standalone version)
To get to the house, you will need to take a boat to it, which can also take you to other various locations around the lake that the house will be located. (I do not want to spoil anything)
And that's exactly what I'm going for! :)
That sounds cool! I might think about that, but as you said it might annoy people...
Thank you for the good advice, I really appreciate it :). I'll put what you said in mind while I keep making the house!
I have hearthfire too, by the by.
And yes, sensibly placed storage..for example I love the way the hearthfire smithy stations cellars are laid out. Chest right behind the forge. Turn. Oh look mats. Turn. Oh look, forge. Turn. well how bout that..there's a smelter right here..
I'd like to try my hand at designing a house, but the CK seems daunting to me. It seems really silly to me that you can't have any...hmmm..how to word this...That you can't put a library on the north wing...or a greenhouse on the east wing. There's three choices for each wing, each one uses the same exterior models..example...the enchanter's tower, the library and the alchemy tower all look the same, so why does the one on the west wing HAVE to be an enchanter's tower? Why can't I put the kitchen on the north wing instead? Or the bedrooms in the east wing etc...
Ok..I've completely digressed from the point of this thread. ..back on track now...I also agree that a small questline to get the house is nice too. It would also be nice to have a vendor (with enough gold) somewhere nearby...that's one of my favorite things about the whiterun house. It's right in between the smith and the general store. That and it's also just inside the city gates, which was quite helpful prior to the better fast travel mod.
Ok I think I've rambled quite enough now. Carry on! ;)
