my guess, conflicting mod.

BOSS on Nexus:
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/?

BOSS YouTube:

or just disable all mods and re-enable and test one at a time. also see section 2 in the pinned thread header "Help/Tips..." on forum home page.

anyone have any idea how to pin a help thread or can only devs do that? I think it would do a lot of good if this forum had a CTD help section that lists all known reasons for a CTD and various proven ways to prevent such occurances from happening.

I put my lot with skyrimhunters and in topic on HINTS and TIPS, basically it all there but its a mess to look through. ( mine is on page 18 (at 50 posts per page) in hints and tips)

Doesn't really matter. The majority of the posts that begin "HELP" contain the word "bug" or "glitch" their OP doesn't look at the pinned "Topics" or read any of the discussions. It is easier just to post "HELP" than click a tab and google the question. Sad, really.

A crash at the Bethesda Logo means you have mods that require files you don't have. Remove the mods you added since your game worked.

What I understand on this that there is no actual pinned topic that just have a problem and a fix method to it. Yes its a pain when someone says help!! and as you say don't look or search for a solution. Guys like you all have ways of fixing your games others haven't a clue or lazy.
I have had some discussion over it but I am not a Guru just what I have learnt to fix my game, and really not forum savy as some.
Take error code 80 as a sample
Problem - error code 80 - means windows and steam are not connecting or talking to each other (layman terms) in startup.
Fix - 1. Shut down computer and restart it (generally this works)
2. If persisting then go to window start and type in search MSCONFIG, click on startup tag, look for Steam Client Bootstrapper, tick box,APPLY,OK and restart computer.(sometimes it is ticked just untick and tick again and proceed)

Now Grimus knows what I am on about as this is his pet hobby on errors.
But on the other hand error 15 is a confusing issue
Error 15
Problem - File "failed to initalise" and highlights the first active mod.
Really this is not the case all the active mods in game are fine.
What the error is saying is true but it can't find the problem so it states and active mod (bad script for error) It should be saying there is a mod(file) that may be corrupt or have a bad file in C: drive Skyrim Data, which it is trying to load in game (its in the folders but actually in game).
This is where gamer get fustrated by taking all the active mods off and the error still appears.
Fix - Check off your active mods in game data with those on C:drive remove any that are not active.
Note these mods may have bad files, corrupt or been updated or removed from mod page or moved to new source(mod server)
No real description within the error to point to these problems.
Cheers

@ Kelvy both error 80 and 15 can be drilled to solutions with Goggle. I've had both at different times. 15 minutes of searching posts and a refined google search: Bob's yer uncle.

This is not a serious forum for help with the game. You can always go th the Beth forums. They are a much better place to ask about technical issues.

Yeah, but (in no particular order) people such as Ref, Grimus, NightCore, Adura, Trigger, Skyrimnut, Incunabulum, bobczes to name just a few do a damn good job here... seriously.
