Random freezes, tried everything
Hello guys.

I'm playing Skyrim on my laptop, HP Pavilion DV6-6169sl with the last graphic drivers (but I tried a few months ago with different drivers and nothing was different). My OS is Windows 8.1

I suffer from random freezes, and when a freeze occur the only thing I can do is CTRL-ALT-DEL and then disconnect. The Task Manager doesn't work.

I tried almost everything: sound fix (24 bit, 44kHz studio quality), affinity process to one core, and so on, but I still suffer from random freezes. Is there anything I can try? I have the Legendary Edition and no mod installed.

It might be the OS.

When do the freezes occur? During loading screens.

First, I'd suggest using SKSE. While I haven't looked it up, I've heard that the newest version uses a good memory allocation...thing... Don't remember the details, but this sounds like a RAM/memory problem.

Also, maybe try:

No, I've never had problem during the loading screen, only during the game. I will try the safety load!

What graphics card are you using? If Nvidia you can use Geforce Experience to optimize your settings, which might help. You could also try task killing your explorer temporarily (Worked for me when my Starcraft was crashing). It could also be a memory issue - if the game is eating up too much memory it may have to do with a memory leak.

The graphic card is a AMD Radeon HD 6770M. In the case of a memory leak what can be the solution (and also, how can I understand if the memory leak is the problem)?
