C++ runtime error
So, typical story, I play for maybe 10-20 minutes and then the game freezes and a notification noise plays talkin bout a runtime error. Would you guys suggest deleting the C++ and then reinstalling it? Or has someone else fixed it in a different manner?

I had the same issue recently. For some weird reason it was fixed by completing the "Impatience of a Saint" quest in dawnguard. If you don't have dawnguard, then I recommend ARmodder's idea.

I have dawnguard and it's completed, that's the issue I'm running into.

The main quest or the impatience one? Sorry, i just need to clarify as most people don't tend to do the side quest as its fairly tedious and out of the way. If you did complete it, then im not quite sure what to do, you could try to contact bethesda.

Wait, what's the side quest do? I don't remember if I finished that one or not

You help some elf ghost in the Soul Cairn find the missing pages to his book.

this will get rid of all the useless files, probably free up a whole bunch of hdd space if you install a lot of games too.

run it, try the game, if it fails get a fresh install from craprosoft

That ghost thing in the cairn can ♥♥♥♥ up the runtime library?

I know, it sounds completely random, but it does. I was getting those C++ errors randomly after playing for an hour or two and looked up solutions for it. The one that worked for me was completing that quest. I did it a few days ago and my game hasn't had a runtime error since. Maybe it won't work for you, but my problems went away after i did it.

I had read it somewhere but I didn't legitimately think it was it, although I'm pretty sure it would be somethin like that.

Personally, i didn't think it woul either. I'm not a computer expert, though, so i went with that solution as it sounded the easiest. It's working so far, though maybe the errors might show up again later, i don't know.

Here's the link to a video walkthrough of the quest (you'll need it as its painful trying to find the pages without help :P):

I wouldn't use that link, Valkyrie. It looks suspicious.

I've been cursed with this same issue. Tried reinstalling the C++, reinstalling the game, with and without mods, cleaning my saves.... nothing works. The problem lies within GB's the coding. And it's likely only about 1MB of script or less causing these.
