Best things to go with archer?
I know Sneak is a big thing.. and i find archers the most fun in the game but with sneak sometimes its just stupidly OP. By the time i was level 14ish i was almost able to kill anything i came across without even a fight.

Whats another thing i can go along with archer? I was thinking Conjuration and had my mind set on that.. but then thought it would be kind of cool to be archer / 1h for when and if they close in on you before you can kill them. Illusion is kind of out of the question - again it just makes archers stupid easy and i dont find it that much fun it gets boring.

Anyone have any good archer build suggestions that keeps it fun for quite a while?

Well Alchemy if you were interested in becoming stronger lol.
Though if you really wanted an interesting Archer experience I'd recommand looking up Skyrim Redone on the nexus, it is a gameplay/perk overhual. One of the changes is Instead of the current Archery perk tree it changes it to have three different branches, one for short bows, one for long bows, and one for crossbows. The short bow tree increases mobilty and increases damage done on an enemy when you flank them which introduces a pretty fast paced combat dynamic. The long bow tree focuses on sniping from a distance which is good if you wanted to play the game as a sniper sort of thing. The crossbow tree involves modding your crossbows and bolts, you can make it so your crossbow has increased fire rate but reduced damage or does double damage to blocking enemies but fires slower. You can also make barbed bolts which do damage over time. Also Skyrim Redone sort of nerfs sneaking a bit and also increases the time enemies search for you in all stages of detection.

Alchemy, enchanting/smithing. Very important if you want to have very powerful bow attacks.

Two hit killin a Dragon? Ya that kind of powerful bow attacks.

Some people always say archery is under powered, but I never found it under powered. hehe

No way is it underpowered, certainly not with my 144 dmg bow with fiery soul trap and paralysis enchantment. Love archery.

@OP: archery is all I use personally, along with various enchanments on armour, etc. The tricky thing is not overdoing it. And a dagger sometimes.

Sneak is overpowered alone, throw in archery and it gets game breaking at later levels.

I've got a sneaky character that uses daggers... It's at level 29 now and the char is basically invisible, almost every attack results in a "slit throat" insta kill move... even when that doesn't happen I one shot pretty much everything and everyone..

It isn't just overpowered with a bow, bow is just stronger at low levels when your sneak is not so well developed that you can sneak up behind people unnoticed.

I've actually made a few kills by bashing with the bow when they were up in my face.
It's the equivalent of a shield bash which staggers and damages the enemy.

I'm planning to go heavy armored mage, though I need some good enchantments first. It is possible to get 0% cost on destruction spells with the right enchantments :p
